Therapy Specialties

Anxiety-Related Issues

Anxiety-related issues encompass a range of conditions characterized by excessive worry, fear, and stress. These can include performance anxiety, academic stress, workplace stress, and general anxiety, all of which can impact daily functioning and overall well-being.

Communication and Boundaries

Struggles with communication and boundary-setting can lead to feelings of overwhelm, resentment, or disconnection in relationships. Therapy can help individuals identify their needs, express themselves clearly, and establish healthy boundaries that support self-respect and deeper connection with others.

Emotion Dysregulation

Emotion dysregulation refers to difficulties in managing and responding to emotional experiences appropriately. It involves intense, prolonged, or inappropriate emotional reactions that can interfere with daily functioning and relationships.

Land Acknowledgement

I acknowledge that I practice therapy on the traditional and treaty lands of the Huron-Wendat (Hyoo-ron Wen-dat), Haudenosaunee (Hoh-deh-no-show-mee), Anishinaabek (An-ish-in-ah-bek) Nations, and Mississauga Peoples. This land is part of the Dish with One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, an agreement to peaceably share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes.

I recognize the enduring presence and contributions of Indigenous Peoples on these lands, and I respect the history, spirituality, and cultures of the original stewards of this territory. As I work towards healing and personal growth, I honour the wisdom and resilience of Indigenous communities and commit to practicing cultural humility in our therapeutic work.

By acknowledging this land, I seek to foster a spirit of reconciliation and create a more inclusive and supportive environment for all individuals I serve.
