Land Acknowledgement
I acknowledge that I practice therapy on the traditional and treaty lands of the Huron-Wendat (Hyoo-ron Wen-dat), Haudenosaunee (Hoh-deh-no-show-mee), Anishinaabek (An-ish-in-ah-bek) Nations, and Mississauga Peoples. This land is part of the Dish with One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, an agreement to peaceably share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes.
I recognize the enduring presence and contributions of Indigenous Peoples on these lands, and I respect the history, spirituality, and cultures of the original stewards of this territory. As I work towards healing and personal growth, I honour the wisdom and resilience of Indigenous communities and commit to practicing cultural humility in our therapeutic work.
By acknowledging this land, I seek to foster a spirit of reconciliation and create a more inclusive and supportive environment for all individuals I serve.
